Keitaro vs Binom
Two trackers you install yourself. They differ on the Meta handoff and on how many domains the license includes.
Pick Keitaro if you need the tracker to send Facebook Conversions API events from the Advanced tier up and you can host on CentOS; pick Binom if you want unlimited users and domains on one v2 license and will rely on v1 Facebook tools or your own CAPI bridge until v2 ships the same integration.
You are down to two trackers that live on a server you control. Both charge a flat license fee. More clicks do not change the fee. Three things still separate them: the operating system the installer accepts, how many domains and logins the fee includes, and whether the tracker can send the conversion to Meta.
Quick answer
Keitaro is our top pick for most people. Keitaro fits when the tracker itself must send Facebook conversions from the Advanced edition up, and the server can run CentOS.
- Keitaro. Best for Conversions API from Advanced up. From €40/mo.
- Binom. Best for high click volume. From $104/mo.
The entry plans side by side
The price column shows the starting monthly price. A blank cell means that product's feature list does not mention it.
| Tool | Trial | Server | Domains | Meta path | Postback | Click meter | From |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Keitaro | No trial | CentOS 9 or 10 Stream | 1 on Starter | CAPI from Advanced | subid and status | Unlimited clicks | €40/mo |
| Binom | 14 or 30 days | Your VPS, free install | Unlimited | v1 now, v2 soon | click.php, cnv_id | Flat license | $104/mo |
Keitaro
What works
- The Facebook Conversions integration posts to Ads Manager on Advanced, Expert, Team, and Enterprise.
- Campaigns, flows, filters, and clicks stay unlimited on the license editions.
- A one-domain account can start on the smallest yearly tier, with one user.
What to watch
- A license key means buying the license. The FAQ does not offer a trial.
- The install doc wants CentOS 9 Stream or CentOS 10 Stream, KVM, and at least 4 GB of RAM.
- Starter includes one login and one domain. The Ads Manager integration is documented on Advanced, Expert, Team, and Enterprise.
Binom
What works
- Click volume does not change the v2 rate.
- Users, domains, and data retention are unlimited on v2.
- Binom installs the tracker and the environment on your server at no extra charge.
What to watch
- Self-hosted v2 needs Ubuntu 24.04 or 26.04, 4 GB of RAM, two CPU cores, 50 GB of disk, and KVM.
- You pay for the server and you keep it online. Hosting is not part of the license price.
- Facebook and Google integrations are in v1. The homepage FAQ says they will soon be available for v2.
The license stays flat, and the gates are different
Keitaro's edition plans include an unlimited number of campaigns, flows, filters, and clicks. Click volume leaves the license fee unchanged. What changes by tier is how many people can log in, and how many tracking domains you can add.
Keitaro's prices set Starter at one login and one domain. Advanced is one login and 100 domains. Expert is up to five logins and 500 domains. A second login, or a second tracking domain, moves the account off Starter.
Binom's pricing page says you can track a billion clicks and pay only the license fee to process them. The v2 license includes every login and every tracking domain. Adding another domain, or another login, stays on the license you already have.
The yearly entry rate for each tracker is in the table above. Binom's month-to-month rate, and the Cloud plan that includes a server, are with the other cards below.
Hosting: CentOS on one side, a free install on the other
Keitaro's install guide says the tracker requires CentOS 9 Stream, and that other operating systems are not suitable. The same requirements cover CentOS 10 Stream, on a KVM VPS with at least 4 GB of RAM. You rent that machine. The license is the software on it.
The install guide is specific: CentOS Stream, and nothing else. It rules the other systems out. The path it describes is a KVM server, and 4 GB of RAM is the floor it names.
That same Binom page says the company will install the tracker and set up the server for free. You still pay for the server and keep it online. Cloud is the plan that includes the machine. Its price is with the other cards below.
The network postback
The network approves, holds, or rejects the sale later. The tracker attaches that result to the right click when the postback carries the click id and a status.
Keitaro's postback doc names the pair it needs. Without subid and status, the tracker cannot correctly process the postback. The network's postback URL has to pass both. A payout figure can ride along. The doc treats those two fields as required.
Binom documents the postback on click.php. The documented URL is https://binom.org/click.php?cnv_id={sub1}&payout={sum}&cnv_status={status}. cnv_id is the click id the network sends back, payout is the amount, and cnv_status is the status. The postback URL builder builds those Binom tokens for the offer's postback URL.
How the sale gets back to Meta
Keitaro's Facebook conversions doc says the integration sends conversions from Keitaro to Facebook Ads Manager via Conversions API. It lists Advanced, Expert, Team, and Enterprise. Conversions are sent when the fbclid parameter is present on the click.
The ad click lands with Meta's click id. The network later posts subid and status to Keitaro. On an edition included in that list, Keitaro then sends the conversion to Ads Manager. Starter is the first card on Keitaro's price list. The four editions on that list start with Advanced.
Binom's homepage says the first version includes these traffic-source integrations for Facebook and Google, and that the same integration will soon be available for the second version. v2 is the license in the table. The homepage says that work is still to come on the second version.
The Facebook integration doc describes spend, not the conversion leaving the tracker. Every 30 minutes Binom checks the connected accounts, reads spend against the ad.id token, and writes those costs back. Spend lands in the tracker on a half-hour cycle, matched to the ad id.
To see which machine should report the Meta event, and how a browser pixel and a server event can land as one purchase, read Facebook pixel vs Conversions API. To compare hosted trackers and see which entry plan documents a server-side send, use the server-side signal checker.
The Keitaro tracker
Keitaro is a self-hosted attribution tracker. You buy a license, you install it on CentOS Stream, and the click log stays on that server.
The FAQ says a license key comes from buying a license, through the Buy License button. A Keitaro review starts from that purchase and from the CentOS requirement, because both are fixed before the first campaign. That same document starts the Ads Manager integration on Advanced, so you weigh the plan and the server together.
Binom as a self-hosted alternative
Binom is the self-hosted alternative when you want to run traffic before you pay, and when one license should cover every domain and every login.
After you register, Binom's FAQ offers a 14-day trial with no limitations on traffic or functionality, and you can extend it to 30 days by asking support or by using a coupon. The v2 card on that same page lists a 30-day trial. The FAQ describes the 14-day window and the extension. The card prints 30 days.
The yearly v2 license is the flat fee in the table, and extra domains or logins stay included. When the next comparison is that flat fee against a cloud tracker that counts events, Binom vs Voluum is the pair. The Binom review covers Binom on its own.
What each card charges
On yearly billing, Keitaro Starter is €40 a month for one login and one domain. Advanced is €72 a month for one login and 100 domains. Expert is €104 a month for up to five logins and 500 domains. Those figures are in euros.
Binom v2 is $104 a month when the year is paid up front, and $149 a month if you pay month to month. Either cadence leaves logins and tracking domains uncapped. Cloud is $299 a month and includes the server.
Expert's figure and v2's yearly figure are both 104 a month. One is euros and one is dollars. At those rates, the Keitaro side is the Expert plan listed above. The Binom side keeps the whole account on one fee. The Meta path is whatever each vendor's docs describe today.
When the page, the checkout, and the postback share one record
Keitaro and Binom record the click and the network's later postback. The landing page still lives somewhere else. ElasticFunnels is a funnel platform for teams that run paid traffic. Pages, same-URL split testing, the checkout, the CRM, and attribution sit on one data layer, so a network can post the sale back onto that record.
Same-URL split testing keeps one campaign link while variants rotate on the server. The checkout can take order bumps, one-click upsells, and subscriptions. Every feature is on every plan. Plans differ by page views, brands, domains, seats, and automation runs. Starter is $97 a month, or $937 billed for the year, with 50,000 page views. A page view is one load of a page ElasticFunnels hosts. Bot traffic, data-center traffic, and test traffic are not billed. The trial lasts 14 days and does not require a credit card. A 0.5% fee applies to revenue processed through Stripe, NMI, PayPal, Klarna, or Authorize.net. Sales sent through an external checkout or a network sit outside that fee.
ElasticFunnels is newer than the platforms it competes with, and there is very little independent review coverage to check its claims against. Until you run real volume through it, you are largely taking the vendor's word for how those postbacks behave. It has been on sale since 2023, so that outside record has had less time to build. The pages, the checkout, and the customer record are still on the plan. The ElasticFunnels review covers the platform.
