What this month of overage costs

A plan that covers your clicks can still lead to an extra charge once you go past its included events. It can also refuse a new campaign while you still have events left. This is an estimate from published allowances and overage rates, not a live invoice.

After you submit, each plan shows its included events, the estimated charge, and whether campaigns or events hit the limit first.

How a month past the allowance is priced

Monthly events equal monthly ad clicks times events per click, rounded to a whole number. The same pair of inputs feeds the affiliate tracker pricing calculator, which leaves this charge out.

For each row, live campaigns are compared with the published campaign limit, and events are compared with the included allowance. If your active campaigns pass the plan's campaign ceiling and you still have events left, you reach that ceiling first. If events exceed the allowance before the campaigns do, you reach the event limit first. BeMob Free can hit both.

RedTrack event overage

Solo includes 5 million events a month. RedTrack's pricing page defines an event as a click or a conversion. Extra events are billed at four cents per thousand, and tracking keeps running. Campaigns, landers, and offers have no cap on the affiliate plans. The same page says that if you stay over the allowance, you can be moved to the plan that fits that volume, starting with the next bill. The calculator still applies that Solo rate to the month you type in.

Voluum overage per 1,000 events

Profit includes 1,000,000 events and 20 active campaigns. Voluum's pricing page lists events beyond that allowance at six cents for every 1,000 events. That charge is added at the end of the billing cycle. Voluum's event article counts a visit, a click, and a conversion as one paid event each, and it counts ten impressions as one. This estimate uses those Profit figures, and it leaves older plan names alone.

FunnelFlux, priced per million

FunnelFlux's base plan includes 2 million events. Events after those 2 million cost $10 per million. Compared with Solo and Profit, that works out to one cent per 1,000 events. A visit to a condition node and a visit to a rotator node both count, so a path through those nodes uses up the allowance faster than a click and a conversion alone. The homepage figures for the base plan omit a campaign count, so this row leaves campaigns out.

BeMob Free stops tracking, and Professional charges for extra events

BeMob's pricing table gives the Free plan 100,000 events per 30-day period and 10 active campaigns, with no way to pay for events past that. BeMob's pricing structure says tracking stops once that included limit is reached. Professional includes 1,000,000 events and charges five cents for every extra 1,000 events. Professional is scored on events only.

Included events, overage rate, and campaign cap
Plan Included events Overage Campaign cap
RedTrack Solo 5 million events $0.04 per 1,000 Uncapped
Voluum Profit 1,000,000 events $0.06 per 1,000 20 active
FunnelFlux Base 2 million events $10 per million Not in this estimate
BeMob Free 100,000 events Tracking stops 10 active
BeMob Professional 1,000,000 events $0.05 per 1,000 Not in this estimate

When you reach the campaign cap first

Take 800,000 monthly clicks, 1.25 events per click, and 25 live campaigns. That comes to 1,000,000 events for the month. Type those three numbers into the form to see the same rows the paragraphs walk through.

On Profit, 25 campaigns exceed the active-campaign limit, and those 1,000,000 events have not gone beyond the included allowance, so the event charge is zero. With 25 campaigns, Profit is past the 20 it allows. You can stay inside the event allowance and still be unable to open another campaign.

Those same events fall within Solo's allowance, so there is no extra event bill, and campaigns have no cap. Free has passed both its event quota and its campaign limit, so tracking stops and the charge for extra events is zero. The FunnelFlux base plan is still inside its event allowance, so that row adds nothing for events.

My take

I would start with the campaign ceiling if you expect the campaign count to grow, and I would look at events after that. I would skip Profit for this example, because 25 campaigns are already over its limit of 20. I would look at Solo or the FunnelFlux base plan while they still show no event charge, and I would skip BeMob Free once tracking has stopped.

A flat license, and a visitor meter

Binom's pricing FAQ says click volume does not change the license fee, including at a billion clicks. The license fee is the whole traffic charge, so Binom has no row in the overage table. Buyers who have passed Profit's 20 active campaigns can compare Binom's flat license with Voluum on Binom vs Voluum.

ClickMagick Starter includes 10,000 tracked visitors and publishes no fee for visitors beyond that limit. Those visitors stay outside the event math. The breakdown sits on the ClickMagick pricing page.

Impressions and node visits

The form multiplies ad clicks by the events-per-click number you type. Put impression pixels into that number, and raise it when those pixels are on.

On Voluum, use the ten-to-one weight from the Profit section, so each impression adds a tenth of an event. On BeMob, each impression counts as one event when impression tracking is on. Add one to the events-per-click number for each impression. On FunnelFlux, raise it again for every condition node and rotator node the visit hits, because each of those node visits counts against the base allowance on its own.

High event volume

Buyers running high event counts often weigh a metered overage against a license that stays flat while the clicks rise. The cloud rows above are the metered side of that comparison. Binom, covered just above, is the flat fee in that comparison.

Questions

What counts as an event on RedTrack, Voluum, and BeMob?
Solo meters the click and the conversion as separate units, so one ad click that also converts can count twice. Profit adds the visit on top of those, and it groups impressions ten at a time. With impression tracking on, BeMob counts every impression as its own event.
Does Voluum keep tracking after 1 million events?
Profit invoices events past the included pool at the end of the billing cycle. The result here shows that charge. The included million is a billing line, and the campaign cap is a separate line.
Can I pay overage on BeMob Free?
Free has no overage line you can pay. Once the included events are used, tracking stops and the pricing table points you at an upgrade.
When does Profit’s 20-campaign cap matter more than the event pool?
It matters in a month where you already have more than 20 campaigns running and events are still within the allowance. The campaign-cap section above is that case. You can stay within the event allowance and still be unable to add another live campaign.
