## ElasticFunnels vs ClickFunnels

You are down to two accounts, and the next invoice has to match the traffic you actually buy.

Pick ElasticFunnels if you buy Meta or Google traffic and need same-URL split tests, network postbacks, and server-side conversion tracking on one sale record; pick ClickFunnels if you want built-in email, courses and community on unlimited visitors without a page-view cap.

I would start with ElasticFunnels when the landing page, the checkout, and the network's later approval or rejection need to be tied to a single sale. I would pick ClickFunnels if the list, the course or the community is what you need next, on a plan where visitors are unlimited.

[See ElasticFunnels pricing](/reviews/elasticfunnels/pricing)

### Two starting prices, two meters

ElasticFunnels is a funnel platform for teams that run paid traffic. Pages, same-URL split testing, checkout, CRM and attribution sit on one data layer. ClickFunnels is a hosted funnel builder that keeps the funnel, the checkout, mail and courses in one account, with a community beside them.

The starting monthly prices match, and that is where most comparisons stop. ElasticFunnels counts hosted page views. The Starter allowance is in the meter column below, and bot and datacenter traffic is excluded from that count. Views past the allowance are billed per thousand. ClickFunnels lists unlimited visitors on every paid plan, then limits the account by contacts, emails sent, courses, seats and domains. Launch's contact limit, email limit and course count sit behind the mail column.

Someone sending cold traffic through several hosted steps will feel the view allowance. Someone whose list is the asset, and who delivers a course from the same login, will feel the contact limit and the monthly send cap. I would judge the invoice by which of those you will hit.

### Same-URL tests keep the campaign link

Same-URL split tests matter when the ad is already approved. ElasticFunnels includes them on every plan, up to five variants. The [plan table](https://elasticfunnels.io/pricing) states that limit. The destination the ad already uses stays put while the variants rotate on the server, so Meta and Google keep one link for the length of the test.

ElasticFunnels' [ClickFunnels comparison](https://elasticfunnels.io/vs/clickfunnels) says ClickFunnels allows one variant per funnel step, and that only the first step shares the funnel URL while a test is running. That is ElasticFunnels describing a competitor. The ClickFunnels plan grid does not describe a test that keeps one URL, so that column is blank on their side.

### Tie the sale to the ad that paid for the click

ElasticFunnels sends checkout sales to Meta as server-side Purchase events through the Conversions API, with the order value and the currency, whether or not a browser pixel fired. Spend is pulled back every two hours. Those events are written up on the [Meta Ads integration](https://elasticfunnels.io/integrations/meta-ads) page.

Google is a separate upload. Sales with a gclid are uploaded as click conversions. Sales without a gclid are left out of that upload. The [Google Ads integration](https://elasticfunnels.io/integrations/google-ads) page states that limit, and the Google column below repeats it. The cell is blank for ClickFunnels because none of their pages in this set mention a native offline conversion upload.

Spend comes back on those same Meta and Google pages, every two hours, so the ad cost can sit beside the sale the funnel recorded. The ClickFunnels plan grid does not describe that import. I would keep the jobs separate. One account files the sale and pulls spend. The other hosts the pages, the mail and the course.

For Meta, ElasticFunnels' comparison describes ClickFunnels' server-side conversions as partial. It names the Conversions API, and it says Google and TikTok server-side uploads are not publicly stated. People who have connected the native Facebook Conversions API say it omits an event ID, so the browser event and the server event stay separate unless someone adds custom code. I would treat that as a report from buyers, and I would look for a spec on ClickFunnels' own site before relying on a matched event.

### A network can post the sale back

On an affiliate offer the payable event often arrives after the click, when the network approves, holds or rejects the lead. ElasticFunnels is built so the postback can match the record the page and the checkout already created. The sales-fee cell is a percentage of revenue through ElasticFunnels-hosted checkouts only. Its plan FAQ names BuyGoods, ClickBank and Shopify among the external sales that sit outside that percentage.

ClickFunnels' [price list](https://www.clickfunnels.com/pricing) says it takes no percentage of sales, and that you keep what you make. That matters when orders run through its checkout and you are comparing a cut of revenue with a flat subscription. Filing a later network approval or rejection against that click is what ElasticFunnels does in this pair. ClickFunnels, in this pair, is the flat subscription with no cut of sales.

### ClickFunnels holds the list and the course

Mail and courses live in the ClickFunnels account with the funnel, and so does the community. Launch's course count and monthly send cap are in the mail column, with the contact limit. The grid also gives Launch two team members and five custom domains. Webhooks and API access are listed on Scale and above, so Launch leaves them out. If the conversion has to leave through an API on the first invoice, Launch is the wrong tier.

[Payments AI](https://www.clickfunnels.com/apps/payments-ai) can send a transaction through a gateway by customer location, currency, product or amount, including a split between Stripe and PayPal. That is checkout routing inside ClickFunnels. It answers a different question from filing a network postback on the click the ad paid for.

The Affiliate Center is not included on Launch or Scale in the public grid. A seller who wants ClickFunnels to run an affiliate program needs a tier above Launch. What those two tiers leave out is the Affiliate Center. Funnels, checkout and email are included on Launch.

### What stalls a switch

Classic and 2.0 are separate ClickFunnels accounts. The [upgrade article](https://support.clickfunnels.com/en/articles/12734395-upgrading-to-clickfunnels-2-0) says funnels cannot be migrated from a Classic account into a 2.0 account. A live Classic funnel has to be built again. I would treat that rebuild as part of the move.

ElasticFunnels has little independent review coverage, which is what you would expect of a platform launched in 2023\. Until more buyers run real volume through it, proof of postbacks and server-side conversion tracking comes from the vendor's documentation. Those pages still describe the tests, the checkout and the customer record. With few outside reviews, a third party has little to check the conversion claims against. The pages, the checkout and the tests are described on the plan table and the integration pages.

Quick answer

**ElasticFunnels** is our top pick for most people. ElasticFunnels is the pick if the landing page, the checkout and the network postback have to live on one record.

* **ElasticFunnels.** Best for the page and the postback on one record. From $97/mo.
* **ClickFunnels.** Best for a course library and a member area, with unlimited visitors. From $97/mo.

### The entry plans side by side

The price column shows the starting monthly price. A blank cell means that product's feature list does not mention it.

### ElasticFunnels

##### What works

* The page, the checkout and the sale sit on one record, and a network can post that sale back.
* Same-URL split tests keep the ad link stable while the variants rotate.
* Meta Purchase events can go out through the Conversions API, and spend can come back in.

##### What to watch

* Independent reviews are still scarce, which is what you would expect of a platform launched in 2023\. Until more buyers run volume through it, postback and conversion tracking details come from the vendor's documentation.

### ClickFunnels

##### What works

* Visitors are unlimited on every paid plan, so a traffic spike is not billed as hosted page views.
* Email, courses and community sit in the same account as the funnel.
* The pricing page says ClickFunnels does not take a percentage of sales.

##### What to watch

* Launch caps contacts and monthly email sends, and the Affiliate Center is not included on Launch or Scale.
* Classic funnels cannot be migrated into a 2.0 account, so older funnels have to be rebuilt.
* Buyers describe the native Facebook Conversions API as leaving out an event ID, so deduplication takes custom code.

### What changes after the first invoice

Both plan pages list a 14-day trial. ElasticFunnels does not ask for a card to start. ClickFunnels adds a 30-day money-back guarantee in its pricing FAQ, on top of that trial.

ClickFunnels also prints an annual rate next to the monthly one. Paid for the year, Launch is listed at $81 a month, Scale at $164, and Optimize at $248\. Dominate is a yearly plan at $5,997\. The screenshot below the comparison shows those annual prices, with the monthly rates crossed out. Read the monthly figure in the price column if you are not paying for the year up front.

ElasticFunnels can be billed for the year too. Above Starter, Growth is $197 a month and Scale is $497 a month. The yearly bills beside them are $937, $1,891 and $4,771\. Every feature is included on Starter, Growth and Scale. The plans differ by page views, brands, domains, seats and automation runs. Extra hosted page views on Starter are $1.20 per 1,000\. Going over the allowance adds that per-thousand charge. Moving up a plan is optional.

My pick for someone buying paid traffic is ElasticFunnels. The page, the checkout, the network postback and the server-side conversion all stay on one record. I would skip ClickFunnels for that job. I would start with ClickFunnels when you sell a course and keep the buyer list in that same account, and the plan already includes unlimited visitors.

Our pick

### ElasticFunnels

ElasticFunnels is the pick if the landing page, the checkout and the network postback have to live on one record.

### Questions

Can ClickFunnels send Facebook Conversions API events?

ElasticFunnels' comparison page calls the ClickFunnels Meta send partial. Buyers who set up the native integration say an event ID is left out, so matching the browser event takes custom code. Order value on an ElasticFunnels Purchase is described on its Meta integration page.

Does ElasticFunnels work with affiliate network postbacks?

A network can call back onto the sale the page and the checkout already stored. That filing sits apart from the hosted-checkout percentage in the sales-fee cell.

Which is cheaper once the account grows?

The cheaper account is the one whose meter you stay inside. Unlimited visitors with a contact and email ceiling bill differently from hosted page views that charge per thousand after the allowance. The price column is only the entry.

Can a Classic funnel move into ClickFunnels 2.0?

The upgrade article says a Classic funnel stays in the Classic account. The move is a rebuild in 2.0.
